Vogels kijken doe je met je oren! / Birdwatching is done by ear!

In 2024 I came in touch with Anne Nijs, city ecologist in Utrecht and I was taken aboard to help make visual (and make pop) ‘Luistervink’, a website dedicated to recording birdcalls live, in several parks in Utrecht to have the birds recognized by an AI system and broadcast on the website. Everything from logo design to map illustration, a dedicated font, drawings to signify the participating parks & other locations. It started in Utrecht and has since expanded to Rotterdam, Oosterwold and soon to be many more places. Click on the title above to visit the official website to see for yourself.
